Under 11 Black Statistics 2002 2003
Managers : Matt Clarke,
For the under 11s Blacks, it was more of a building year as apposed to a competing year. Myself and Steve formed team in January of 2003, and after starting off slowly with just a few players, the team has since grown and grown. During the past six months, the players have worked exceptionally hard to get to know each other and have now started to form a strong squad. During this period we have played quite a few friendlies. The attitude of the players has always been very good, with a great team spirit, and through this effort and hard work we have managed to win all of the games playing some good football along the way. The players also competed in a recent 6-aside tournament in Berkamsted, where one team reached the semi finals, and the other team narrowly missed out due to some bad luck and very good footballing teams. I feel this was a great achievement by the boys, as it was their first competitive tournament, with some players playing together for the first time. On the whole, myself and Steve are very pleased with the progress of the boys and their attitudes towards the game and learning. We also have some personalities and characters in the team which make things work well. I am certainly looking forward to the forthcoming season, with the boys continuing with their hard work, we will do well.
On that note just a quick thank you to the parents for your support and help so far.
