Royals Fixtures: NWR Royals crowned Challenge Cup Winners NWR Royals 2 - 0 Railway Club Birkdale Trophies Senior Challenge Cup Final The Royals came out on top in the Senior Challenge Cup Final on Sunday, to cap what has been a great season for the team, as they have also finished second in their first season in the Premier League. The Royals took the reins from the start, and it was surprising to see them going in at half time still at 0 - 0. However, it was mainly due to the heroics of the Railway 'keeper, who stopped certain goals from the unlucky Mo Mboob. The introduction of Ally Myles at half time added an extra spark, and when he laid the ball to Alex Gilmaney, Alex rocketed the ball home from 20 yards. Ally Myles got the goal he deserved with 15 minutes to go, which allowed the Royals to glide home. The inspirational Steve Hoare took the man of the match trophy for his contribution at the back, in his what was his last match for the club. It was an enthralling performance by the Royals, and a justly deserved win. Congratulations to Stuart Bushall and the boys on topping a great season.
