2004 2005 UNDER 8 Hawks

Sunday 13th March - Harvesters North 0   Nascot Wood Hawks 2

A great performance from the Hawks turned our heavy loss earlier in the season against Harvesters North in to victory today.

Goals from Adam Bischoff and Teddy Ring both netting their second goals of the season.

A true team performance today showed what the Hawks are capable of.

Well done to all they boys!!!!!!!!!!

Sunday 6th March - Nascot Wood Hawks 3 Alexandra Park 1

Charlie Harris scored a hat trick in this well earned result for the Hawks.

The team were full of running and on another day the score line could have been far higher in the Hawks favour.

Well done to all

Sunday 6th February
- Nascot Wood Hawks 2 - Bushey Rangers Eagles 0

After a recent dip in results the Hawks are back on the winning trail. 2
fantastic goals from Charlie Harris secured the win.

A gutsy all round team performance ensured that the Hawks kept a clean sheet. Jaime Wise hit the post in the first half, Teddy Ring for the first
time playing upfront did very well as did Adam Bischoff who's work on the right wing caused constant problems for the Bushey defence. Charlie Peters
and Daniel Wilson were fantastic in defence stopping numerous attacks from Bushey and the 2 goal keepers Ryan Hamlett and Josh Davies made some
wonderful saves to keep clean sheets. Charlie Harris covered every blade of grass and led by example.

We play Evergreen in a friendly next Sunday 13th and on the 20th another friendly against the Green Division Champions Nascot Wood Eagles. Both games
will be challenging.

Well played to all the boys.

Sunday 23rd January - Hadley Wood West 6 - Nascot Wood Hawks 2

A poor result given our recent run of wins in the league. The boys played well in the first half and were still in touch at the end of the half at 2-1 to Hadley by a goal from Charlie Harris. The game got away from us during the second half  and despite a lot of effort the boys were unable to stop a strong Hadley side.  Dominic Cortes scored the second goals for the Hawks.

We must continue to keep working hard.

Sunday 16th January - Nascot Wood Hawks 2 - Whetstone Wanderers 3

Goals from Ben Fullylove and Daniel Wilson ensured that this was a close game against good opposition. All the boys did their best and worked hard as a team.

The first half was goalless with a few chances at either end.  The second half was more flowing and Whetstone soon found a way through and scored.
Within 5 minutes Ben had even things up, with some great build up play from the rest of the team. 1-1 became 2-1 to Whetstone and Josh Davies was busy
in goal making some good saves. 3-1 to Whetstone a couple of minutes later and the boys dug in and worked hard to get back on terms. Daniel scored for
the second time this season, again great build up play from the team turned defence into attack and Daniel covered most of the pitch to slot the ball in
at the far post.

The Hawks made it uncomfortable for Whetstone in the final few minutes pushing hard for an equaliser. Unfortunately, we ran out of time on this occasion.

Well done boys, a gritty performance!!!!

Sunday 9th January - Hemel Athletic 0   Nascot Wood Hawks 2

A great team performance again showed our renewed confidence in our ability and determination. The boys overturned and 3 -0 defeat from a previous encounter with Hemel this year. The first half we resisted pressure from Hemel, defensively we dealt with every situation comfortably.

The second half started as the first with Hemel pressing forward.Charlie Harris scored a brilliant individual goal early on when he took the ball from our half, up the left wing and then slotted the ball past the keeper. 1 -0 to the Hawks .

Ben Fullylove also made the most of his chance in front of goal 5 minutes later and it was 2-0 to the Hawks.

Hemel pushed everyone forward in an attempt to get something from the game, but all our boys were solid and worked hard supporting each other.

19/12/04 Borehamwood 2 - Nascot Wood Hawks 3

A great performance considering the pitch conditions. We played uphill first half and although the Hawks went 2 goals behind we continued to battle away. Ryan Hamlett made a brave save and for the 3rd game in a row we had to change keepers within the first half. Josh Davies went in goal, both keepers had an excellent game.

Passing and tackling was excellent and a break on the right found Ben Fullylove in acres of space in the middle, he coolly slotted the ball passed the keeper.

The second half and we have the run of the pitch. In fact apart from one scrambled clearance we pegged Borehamwood into their half for most of it. Adam Bischoff battled all game and deserved to score his first goal of the season from a loose ball, all square at 2-2. The stage was set for a win. Teddy Ring and Daniel Wilson kept the midfield tight with lots of clearances, passing and tackling. Charlie Peters was a tower of strength defensively dealing with any attacks and cleared his lines brilliantly. Jamie Wise did not stop running and battling on the right wing and there was some great vision and passing from all the team. Charlie Harris came on the second half and covered every blade of grass. An absolute screamer of a goal from Charlie made it 3-2 to the Hawks.  Dominic Cortes battled in the middle and put pressure on their defence. Dominic hit the post and had a couple of shots saved. On another day he and the rest of the team could have scored a lot more.

We go into Christmas in winning form again.

28/11/04 Nascot Wood Hawks Borehamwood Youth 3

A better performance from the Hawks gave them a well deserved victory. 4 goals from Charlie Harris and 1 from Dominic Cortes ensured that we have our 2nd win of the season.

11/11/04 Bushey Ranger Eagles 0 – Nascot Wood Hawks 2

A strong team performance saw the Hawks overcome a good Bushey Side.

Ben Fullylove scored within a minute of the kick off to put the Hawks ahead. The team stood strong defensively to withstand an Eagle fight back.

Charlie Harris pushed forward and scored a goal later in the first half to make it 2-0.

Ryan Hamlett went in goal the second half and saved a penalty.

Great performances from Charlie P, Daniel W, Adam B, Teddy R, Josh D, Jamie W, Ben F, Dominic C, Charlie H and Ryan H.

The Hawks could have had more goals, but we were satisfied with our first win of the season.

Well done to all the boys!!!!
