Scorers: Alex.
Match Report :
This was always going to be a difficult match for us based on Muswell Hill results so far this season. As we knew it was going to be an Acid Test, our preparation was spot-on.
Like in all our matches this season, we drew the first blood when Alex ran the ball down the left flank into the box, beating the defender and blasted the ball passed the keeper to put us 1 - 0 up within 4 minutes of play. Less than a minute later, one of the visiting players was found off-side, which the lines man correctly gave, but the referee over-ruled and let the visitors level the match 1 - 1.
What a turning point that decision turned out to be. Whilst surprised with the referee's decision, we let our heads drop, loosing control of the game and came-up short in every department, ending the first half 1 - 4 down.
We were all over the shop in the second-half and did not look like our old selves, as we let in 5 more goals to record our worst defeat of the season 9 - 1.
Overall : In plain English, our display was a shocker and the best team won today, but loosing by such a margin was self inflicted, as we made things too easy for the visitors.
The bottom line is that many of our players did not turn up today and our performance as a team beggars belief.
I take some of the blame for our poor showing today, as I changed our usual line up of players in defence for the match and it back-fired.
Our worst display anywhere this season, but we must pick ourselves up, work harder and bounce right back boys.
Unlucky boys.

Competition: County Cup Round 1
Opponents:Falcons 2 v Hemel Youths Whites
Scorers: Apisit, Jordan.
Match Report :
It was a real Cup tie atmosphere today with Hemel Youth Whites turning up with 16 players and a couple of coach loads of supporters.
We were in the mood for a win today and applied ourselves accordingly, as Apisit latched onto a through ball, beating the defender and rounding the approaching goal-keeper to put us 1 - 0 up. We made our intentions clear when Jordan also scored to put us 2 - 0 up, all within 5 minutes of play.
Having let a 2 goal lead slip through our fingers last week (surely the same set back wouldn't happen again!). Unfortunately, lighting did strike-twice within a week.
Following a lapse of concentration, Hemel Youths scored and the coach load of supporters who had been kept quiet suddenly found their voices and support. With the crowd behind them, the opposition scored again to finish the first half on level terms (2 - 2).
We came out more organised and focused in the second half, but later let in an own goal from a corner-kick to go 3 - 2 down and lost the game by the same score-line.
Overall : Our defence ticked all the boxes today, but we did not display enough fire and tempo in midfield & attack to close down and finish off the visitors.
I must say we had our moments and chances throughout the match, giving as good as we got against a good side, but it does feel like we've had our pockets picked by the visitors today.
Unlucky boys.

Competition: League Cup Round 1
Opponents: Whetstone Tigers 6-3
Scorers: Tharsikan, Jack, Jordan (pen).
Match Report :
When asked to produce the registration cards for his players, Whetstone's manager suddenly developed Amnesia. Following a quiet chat with his assistant, he somehow remembered he had left the cards at home.
The match was allowed to go ahead when all the visiting players names and D.O.B were taken.
Back on the pitch, our boys have certainty not forgotten how to start a match in style, as Tharsikan rattled the net with a cracking half volley from the edge of the box to put us 1 - 0 up within two minutes of play. The great start continued when Jack scored a few minutes later to make it 2 - 0 and put us in cruise control.
The first half was all Falcons, as we let a few chances go begging. With only a few minutes left to half-time, we let in an own goal to finish the period 2 - 1 up.
Starting the second half within touching distance, the Tigers tails went up, while the Falcons picked up a hangover from the own goal. We buckled a bit and the visitors scored 3 goals in succession to go 4 - 2 up. As we began to show glimpse of our first-half display, Jordan was brought down in the box and he got up to convert the penalty making it 3 - 4 against.
However, the opposition did well to close us down at every opportunity for the rest of the match and scored 2 more goals to earn their 6 - 3 win.
Overall : This was a game of two halves. Our first half display was very pleasing, as we took control of the match and overpowered the visitors. Our defence team of Matthew J, Kasper, Apisit and Keval more than earned their keep throughout the match today.
We let the visitors have a sniff in the second half and they took advantage. Although we contributed to our own downfall, I am very pleased with the spirit and determination shown by the boys throughout the match.
A performance to build on, good job boys.

Competition: League
Opponents: Cassiobury Leopards 8 - 1 (win)
Scorers: Jordan 4, Jack 1, Alex 1, Tharsikan 1, OG.
Match Report :
We were very slow off the blocks in this match. Although we knocked the ball about, but it was with no real purpose. It took over 15 minutes into the match before our first goal was recorded (an own goal from the visitors).
The goal opened the flood gates as Jack and Alex both scored a goal each within the next 5 minutes.
3 - 0 up, we began to play attacking footy and Jordan scored twice to put us 5 - 0 up going to the break.
In the second half, we kept up the good work from the first half as Jordan scored 2 more goals. The opposition later got a consolation to make it 7 -1 and Tharsikan scored his first goal for the team and our last of the match to give us an 8 - 1 victory.
Overall : A fantastic all round performance. Due to the opposition's goalkeeper's heroic performance, some of our players did not get on the scoreboard today, but this match was all about the teamwork and the die hard performance all the players put into the match.
A gallant effort and result to match, 10 out of 10 boys !!.

Competition: League
Opponents: Gadeside Whites 8-1 win
Scorers: Kieran 2, Jack 2, Kasper 2, Bradley 1.
Match Report :
The Falcons kicked-off the season minus a couple of players from last season and I would like to thank those boys and parents for their contributions to NWR U12 Falcons. We wish them well for the future.
The new season got-off to a good start for us, as we opened the curtains with this 7 - 1 win against Gadeside Whites.
We started the match with all hands on deck, as Kieran recorded his first league goal for the team and our first for the season within 10 minutes of play. Jack, Bradley and Kasper soon followed with a goal each to take us to the break leading 4 - 0
We began the second half stroking the opposition's feathers and they scored to make it 4 - 1. However, the boys got back to business of playing good football once again, with Jack, Kieran and Kasper all scoring their second goals of the match to give us a 7 - 1 victory.
Overall : A great performance from all the boys, our attitude and work-rate was second to none, as we did the basic things really well today. Fantastic start, well done boys.
